You know what my favorite feature with BaseCamp is?
I absolutely love how when I just need to transfer a couple waypoints or a quick route or track to my device (Something that should only take a couple minutes, tops), after I connect my GPSr and start BaseCamp, I have to wait >20 minutes for BaseCramp to index all my files on the device before I can do ANYTHING.
Usually, by the time BaseCramp finally allows me to send or receive data to/from my GPSr, the opportunity is long gone.
Why can't I just plug in my GPSr, send a route or two, maybe a waypoint, or a track, or whatever, and be done, all within a couple minutes?
Why do we have to wait for BaseCramp to re-read every little tiddly bit of data from our GPSr each and every single time when we have no intention of interfacing with or using any of that information in the first place?
This is the primary reason I hate using BaseCramp, and prefer to manage all my on device data manually. Because I can do it a thousand times faster.
