Stopped Time Calculations.

Can anyone tell me how BaseCamp calculates "Stopped Time"?
On a recent Hike with my Oregon 450, the GPS told me I had 2 Hours 0 Minutes of "Stopped Time".
Loading the track into BaseCamp resulted in a "Stopped Time" of 1 Hour 38 Minutes.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this......

BaseCamp looks at each track leg. Every track leg with a speed less than 0.25 m/s is considered stopped, every leg with a speed of more than 0.25 m/s is considered moving.

You can adjust that threshold speed via the registry. The key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Garmin\BaseCamp\Settings\MovingSpeedThreshold.

I don't know how the device calculates this, it probably has more data to work with than what gets exposed to BaseCamp.
