Is there a way of importing .fit files into BaseCamp - I did read a reply from a developer that BaseCamp supported reading .fit files but that you couldnt do it do via the Import menu item - so how do you do it? - there is no File Open command. As every course I import into my Edge is an .fit it is a real pain not being able to open it in BaseCamp.
I'd have to double-check (I am a bit hazy on fitness devices) but I believe BaseCamp will read FIT files if they are on the device and you just connect it. They just need to be in the expected folder which should be the folder the device usually stores FIT files in.
Please reply if this does not work. Also, which Edge device do you have in particular?
I am seeing this same problem. i have multiple garmin devices (edge 500, edge 800, forerunner 210, etc) and if i plug one of them into my computer basecamp will find the FIT files and download them. but i regularly copy the FIT files off the devices and onto my computer and remove them from the devices because otherwise i would run out of space on the devices. so basically i've got a bunch of FIT files on my hard drive that i'd like to import into basecamp. the import feature seems to work with TCX files, but i have no way to do bulk conversions of all my FIT files into TCX format.
