Joining Routes

I am trying to join routes that have been prepared for use by bicyclists. Unfortunately, the routes individually are too short. When I try to join the routes, other routes appear in addition to the original route. Can anyone help me with this problem or point me to instructions.

Difficult to say what your problem is as you gave little detail on the routes and how you've tried to join them. You should be able to select both routes in the lower left hand pane, then right click them and select join selected routes.
