Yet another 4.2 search question

OK, I've got a question on search usage in the 4.2 beta & CNNA 2013.40. I'm trying to locate the address of "95 McGill Ave NW, Concord,NC".
If I enter this string in the text box at the very top of the window and press the blue search icon I will get a spinner and Searching... for as long as I'm willing to wait. I never get any results.
If I quit this search and then select search options, pick Address, and search again I get an immediate and correct result.

Is this expected? And, if so, what is the purpose of the search icon/button? If it's to just bring up the find window why start searching immediately? If I need to tell BC that I'm searching for an address that's fine but it gives the appearance that something is happening when it really isn't.

Do you have address search turned on? By default BaseCamp does not search for addresses. On the "Top Results" page on the top there is a toolstrip with the icons for the different search types. Make sure you have addresses turned on.

That being said, I think address search should be turned on by default. We'll make that change for the final release of 4.2.

After trying a number of searches in BC with POOR or NO results, (Yes, I have address search turned on) I have found a way that ALWAYS works.

I Google the address -- Once I find the address on the Google map, I can then place a waypoint on the BC map. .. .. :p
