Sorting of Folders and Lists

I've tried View > Sort by in BC to achieve my wish but that doesn't appear to work - if it was ever intended to for this use that is ????

Problem: I have a main Folder entitled Cycling Rides and below that a supplementary folder titled 2013 and below that Folders for each month of the year. Within these month folders I have lists numbered 001_Start Place_Finish Place_distance, 002 etc etc.
This layout suits my needs just fine apart from the fact that the month Folders run in reverse i.e. they run down, top to bottom, from December to January when I want them to run in reverse e.g. January down to December. Is there a way to achieve this and if not, can it be put down as a request for future consideration?
  • I don't believe that the View, Sort by is intended to sort folders, just items within folders and lists.

Yes, I'd more or less come to the same conclusion when nothing appeared to happen. That's why I added "can it be put down as a request for future consideration" in the hope that the guy at Garmin would take a look at this thread. It would be nice if Garmin took us Europeans a bit more into consideration when designing software (I say this politely of course lol) because on this side of the pond we don't write our dates backwards and like our calenders to run from month one through to month twelve in much the same way as convention has it that the index of a book is found at the back and the intro at the front.

Forgive me, Im a little confused by this. In my 4.2.1 BC, the folders are sorted alphabetically. So if you have the folders titled by month name, they would appear April, August, December, etc., and not either Jan to Dec or Dec to Jan. I wonder how yours are sorted by month in reverse order?

In any event, couldn't you just do what you are doing with the list names and name the folders 01JAN, 02FEB, 03MAR, etc. to put them in the right order?
