All POI's are not showing up in Basecamp at Highest Detail Level

I am not sure what has happened. I opened basecamp today. Restarted, rebooted, etc.

but if I zoom in on a city where I know has lots of restaurants, hotels, etc all near each other, I can get zoom all the way in, and none of the default POI's show up on the map anymore.

I can do a search for say restaurants, and it will build a list and place a small upside down teardrop marker where things are, but it still doesn't show the Fork&Knife for food, or Bed for Hotel, etc..

they just all seem to be gone.. at least gone from showing in basecamp on the screen at the highest (or any level) zoomed in as far as you can go and back again.

Any thoughts?

(And I did just spend the past 45 minutes "searching" this forum and the POI forum and couldn't find anything that would lead me in the direction to fix this. I would hate to reinstall, but will if I have to. (how would I ave all my maps and stuff?)

Apart from zooming in have you set the Detail level to 'Highest'. POIs don't appear at some lower detail settings, no matter how far you zoom in. What detail level they appear at varies with the map.

Hi Sussamb, I have it set at Highest Detail, I tried all levels, what it looks like, even at the Highest Level of Detail setting, it appears to show what it would show at the lowest.

I thought it might be the detail setting, but it makes no difference

Next to try then is click on Utilities, Options, Activity Profiles, Select features to be displayed and ensure Points hasn't got unticked
