Features I've been waiting for....

There are two things that I wish y'all at Garmin would include in BaseCamp very soon.

I'd like to be able to set "Category" numbers for waypoints within BaseCamp. It's a pain to have to use MapSource to do that when there are more than a couple to do. This has been requested several times if memory serves me correctly.

I know that I've been asking for the print setup details to be "remembered" whenever they are set by the user so that I don't have to go in and waste time changing the default settings each and every time I want to print something. This is especially frustrating when I'm printing a series of maps for an extended trip.
  • The ability to disable the "popup" info balloons.

The ability to view (as in a matrix) all waypoints, routes, Birdseye, etc. and see what lists they are in in a single view (Now you have to look at the properties of each waypoint individually).

Here is what works for me when sending waypoints from BC to my Nuvi 1490T. On BaseCamp, create a list with the exact name for your category. Put your waypoints in that list. When you send the waypoints to your GPS it will put them in a category named the same as the source list. If that category does not exist, it creates it.

One caveat, if your waypoint is in more than one list (check the properties - reference) it will create a category for each list it is in and will show it in each of those categories. So, remove the waypoint from other lists first.
