I suspect Garmin is already aware of these bugs, but just in case …
I noticed two bugs when copying route directions to the Microsoft clipboard. One is the failure to include delimiters for columns with missing/blank data. The second is the insertion of an extra delimiter between hours and minutes in time columns.
Tip to those who paste into Excel:
The reason pasting into Excel results in each row of data going into one cell is the choice of the delimiter. Excel assumes that tab characters in text are meant to indicate column breaks and automatically converts the text to columns. When pasting into Excel from BaseCamp, you will need to do this via the Excel Data menu > text to columns. All rows should be selected after the paste, choose delimited and the appropriate delimiter on the next page. The US region uses a comma for the delimiter. I’m not sure if this is the same in regions where the role of “.” and “,” in numbers are reversed.
