creating route in basecamp - topo us 100k missing trail

Hi gang,

I created a route using basecamp for a hike in the adirondacks a few months back and everything worked perfectly. We're planning to go to Baxter st park in Maine and I went to create the route and found the trails in topo us 100k - all except for one, Helon Taylor trail. Is there a way to add or download the trail to get the complete route?

Thanks a lot
Marcus
  • Sorry to inform you, but the Garmin 100K topo maps are incredibly vacant of useful information (how else would they sell 24k topo maps? (which are not much better)), and are know to be commonly in error by more than 300 feet (just google the webz for details).

Garmin topo maps are not regularly updated, so the information available/used at the time of publication is all you get.

You m ay want to look at free topo and trail maps from GPSFileDepot for more current and accurate maps.

Try this link for Maine, and select Trails and "Filter" for maps with trails. Several to choose from!

    Hello Marcus,

Check out this link. Says he went down the Helon Taylor Trail.
