seeing extra roads next to major roads 2013.40 with Base Camp

When using Base Camp(4.4.1) to view 2013.40 maps from my Nuvi 3790, I am seeing all the major roads with an extra road next to them.. One is the real road and the second is a straight line version.
This happens when you use the .2 mile zoom and closer. I first noticed it while zooming in on S. Las Vegas Blvd. The third road has the county road number on it and the first and second has the street name. If you have mutliple lanes you will see an extra lane. Anyone else seeing this?

Ok.. so you're telling me if I update to the new maps 2013.40 and am using Basecamp 4.1.1 I am going to be getting dual roads. I don't need this. I am on the road 10 months out of the year and need to use my GPS every day. I viewed the JPG's using Mapsource and BC. So we are saying BC is the problem???

I am trying to go along with BC and all the other changes but this is getting to be a problem. With out trying to be a PITA it reminds me of all the problems with MS and all the updates to fix problems. This is being stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am suppose to have unlimited map updates but I can't because the only supported appliction is not capable of using the maps without a problem.

The bug is in BC, which under some circumstances seems to be showing the basemap as well as the selected map. However your GPS should still work the way you want it to.

Having said that I've just tested CN EU 2013.40 and the Basemap is not showing, so it's not a universal 'bug' :)

What if you delete/uninstall the basemap?

I'm also not sure whether the problem comes from the basemap on the nuvi or the one that comes with Basecamp?

As I haven't got the problem I've not looked. However, assuming it's the nuvi, I'm also not sure what else you might lose if you deleted the basemap, possibly nothing. If you decide to go ahead I'd back it up first, although thinking about it if it were me I'd just change it from gmapbmap.img to something like gmapbmap.xyz and see what happens.
