Please tell me how to permanently delete "Current Tracks", they keep reapparing!

Why is that everytime I go into the Garmin BaseCamp they keep reappearing even after I delete them. It's so annoying.

Here is what I do.

1. Plug Garmin Montana 600 into USB.
2. Open up BaseCamp.
3. On the "internal storage" it keeps showing "Current Track: 01.." Current Track 02..
4. I select all of them and right click to delete. They delete.
5. I repeat the steps above and they keep showing up!

Any ideas to get to rid of this?
  • Turn off Track Recording on the Montana.

It has been turned off, I ended up resolving it by individually deleting each one on the map rather than the left pane window and selecting them all to delete.

Very time consuming and from what I see it's a bug in basecamp that needs to be resolved.
  • Don't believe it's a Basecamp bug, I can delete multiple tracks on my Etrex 20. Maybe a Montana bug?

    Which Firmware?

    Update to 4.70, please.
  • BaseCamp cannot delete the current track in the Montana. You need to delete from the Montana track manager. That is very quick to do. I don't consider it a bug in BaseCamp, rather a Montana thing. BTW, my Montana is on 4.70.

BaseCamp actually deletes the track just fine, but the Montana writes it straight back whenever you connect it to the computer again. I hope that it can be fixed in the future.

Like the above poster said, if you want to get rid of the track you have to delete it on the Montana.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.
