Birdseye download, some images failed but I don't get a choice to DL failed images

When the download stops a window tells me some images (tiles) failed and do I want to use the map as is or go to the properties page of the Birdseye Imagery and download the failed images later.
I have chosen both ways on different downloads and neither one has the option to download the failed images.

I also usually don't have a pause button on the properties page when downloading (I say usually because I did see it on one download recently but that is only one time I have had it)

I am on Windows 8 (not recommended) and I don't know if that is the problem.

You might be able to right-click on the BirdsEye in the data list and re-try the download there.

We'll look into why the retry button(and other buttons) don't show up in the properties dialog.

    I apologize for the trouble.

Falagar thanks for looking into this. Right clicking does not give me a menu choice either.

Something must be very wrong then. We'll investigate.

I tried to reproduce this and didn't encounter the issue.

Our theory is that somehow your jnx (Birdseye) and gdb (Garmin database file) got out of sync and the download might have in fact completed. Do you see any missing tiles?

If you download some more Birdseye imagery, do you still see the same issue?
  • Not much help, I know, but I had this same exact issue a couple months ago, and in fact tiles were missing. I eventually just deleted the specific BirdsEye map and restarted the process, with no issues the second time....

    Same Experience

FWIW, I'm having the same experience as APMCS1. When I double click on a tile that has one or more failed downloads, the properties dialog box appears but does not show a pause, resume, or download again buttons as described on this help page. The only way I can fix the problem is to delete the tile and recreate it from scratch.

I am having same problem. Live in remote area and internet has download limits. Was 3 hours into download when it failed. I do not want to delete file and start over. Is there a solution?

I have had some luck with sending them to another folder.

After sending to another folder (I put one in named temp), the download failed images is there. Doesn't always work but a lot of times it does.
