Basecamp Windows Route does not track via road

I am still on the learning curve with Basecamp, I did use Mapsource for a few years.
I tried to create a route in Basecamp, I input the the 2 waypoints from my list but the track created is as the crow flies, it does not follow any routing, I tried to reverse the route and re-calculate etc, but its still maintains the same straight line route.
My other routes created earlier last year are still their, but the new one does not. I need to use this as I also need to calculate fuel for the journey and over night stops.
I am using the latest version 4.1.1 on my PC laptop.
I hope that can be fixed before next week??? please.

Are you using a routeable map in BC? If so, rght click the route and select Open. Choose Driving from drop down list top right and click the recalculate button bottom centre.

I tried that, and still the same. I deleted the route and rebuilt it from scratch, and still the same result, a straight line from the start to the destination.

What map are you using?

Map of the Philippines, we have been using this for 4 years now, nobody else has this problem, I just updated my basecamp and now the problem is here.

I assume the map routed before on your PC and routes OK on your GPS? If so try connecting your GPS to your PC and run the route using the map on your GPS to see what happens.

I have been able to create the route on my GPS, so I am able to travel using the GPS, but its the convenience of seeing the route and working out mileage etc in Basecamp.
I do wish Garmin did not follow Microsoft etc and using us as testers, and instead released a complete program without all the glitches. Or released two programs, those in trial and a more stable program. Thank you for your help anyway.

No problem, but it may be something unique to you. BC is working perfectly well with routeable maps on my PC, both Garmin and 3rd party.

Have you tried reading the map from your GPS and seeing if BC then routes correctly?

I think I will reinstall the program, and see if that makes a difference. Thank you.

Maybe it helps to reset the Activity Options

Thank you for the suggestion, I tried that, but still the same, I will reinstall, hopefully that will sort it out.
