Auto Routing on-off

How do I turn auto routing on and off when drawing a route in BaseCamp? Many times when planning a bicycle route I need to take roads and bike paths to get where I want to go, Auto routing will not let me put click on a point on the bike path.

Double click your route on the left > Route Options tab > Chose routing profile > Select "Direct."
