BC 4.1.0 Data Filters are not applied to map display

I don't recall from previous releases, but in BC 4.1.0 when I set a data filter, e.g. Show Routes, the map display still shows everything from My Collection. With all my data now in BaseCamp, the My Collection map is very full. It would be useful to apply those data filters to the map.

4.0.5 behavior is the same.... if I understand that you see everything ONLY when you are in My Collection. In any other list you will see only ALL the items in that list.

There is no way to limit the items shown on the map by data filter, only in the list view. However, you CAN select all or part of the filtered items, I.E. just some waypoints, and highlight them in the list view, making them stand out on the map.

BTW, this also allows you to change certain global setting for those items, like the symbol for waypoints, or the color for routes or tracks. (right click, then properties) I also used this to reduce the number of some imported waypoints like Flying J Fuel stops. I only wanted the Western US, so I imported all, highlighted all, used the selection tool on the map to select only Western ones, right clicked and sent them to a new folder. Then I eliminated the original 857 fuel stops. Now I have only 285!:D

This has been the behavior since the introduction of filters. But I probably agree that it would make more sense to hide the display on the map as well. We are investigating if it we can change that behavior.

That would be nice, but please make it an OPTION to view only filter contents on map. Some of us may still want to see the remaining data in the current list on the map.
