I have been using a gps to plan bicycle routes for 8 years and with Mapsource always found Routes easier to follow than tracks on my Garmin Legend. Two years ago I bought a Dakota and continued my preferred method. Now in BaseCamp I am having problems. When I use the conversion function to change a track to a route, load it in the Dakota, it will not work. Error message says to many point for a route. Any suggestions?
Change the number of Via Points allowed when changing a track to a route. In the Mac version of BaseCamp that option is under Preferences:Routing. Mine shows a default value of 50. I don't know how many Via Points a Dakota can use.
