Don't want 4.1.0...how not to upgrade?

Well, I've already heard QUITE[ enough about 4.1.0's problems to know I most definitely DON'T want to upgrade!

My queston is, how do I stop BC from doing an automatic upgrade? I'm not even willing to start BC until I know the answer....:mad:

I'm really getting sick of these so-called upgrades that just introduce new (or re-introduce old) problems.....at least I can live with 4.0.5 although it has bugs galore.

Go to Utilities/Options/Software Update and uncheck "check for updates automatically"? May want to disconnect from the internet first to ensure it doesn't update assuming it is checked to do so. But even if it's checked, don't you get the chance to say No to the update if it finds one? I've always had this unchecked and it never asks me anything about it, so I don't know exactly how it works if you do have it checked.

Thanks, that was exactly how. I wasn't willing to find out too late that it was going directly into the download so I disconnected.

Maybe ONE of these new versions will actually permanently fix some of these display or find issues instead of adding all these new features that just screw up the existing code.:mad:

same here, but mine downloaded the update already. i refuse to update to a 10x worse version, but how do i stop the update popup on startup?

Well, it appears I don't want 4.1.1 EITHER!!:mad:

How can each release just get worse than the previous one????? :confused:

I'm going off on vacation to ride instead of reading this forum every day....:cool:
