I have created some small (200Kb) maps from tracks and installed them in Mapsource. They are located in a separate directory. When I installed Basecamp these maps appeared in the drop-down list in the map selection toolbar and in the map area (when selected).
Recently I installed a similar custom map in the same directory and it worked fine in Mapsource, but I can't find it in the Basecamp drop-down list. The only difference between the new and old maps is that the new map doesn't have a .TYP file.
I loaded the map into my 60Csx where it worked fine, so I tried to view it in Basecamp from the GPS. All data EXCEPT the map appeared in Basecamp.
Does Basecamp require a .TYP file or :confused:
