Hi there, I tried to update my basecamp the other day. I was running version 4.0.4 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and it worked great. I ran into problems during the update process. After the installation was about 3/4's of the way through... a box popped up stating that:
When I click browse and directed it to the folder/file where BCMAIN.msi is located, I get the message:
I can no longer continue at this point, my only option is to cancel the installation. My previous BaseCamp version now no longer works.
I have tried to remove all files and folders associated with basecamp... registry entries also.
I have done all the windows updates.
I have tried running the installation from a different folder, I have tried to install the full version, downloaded from garmin.
Anybody have any ideas why I can't install basecamp 4.0.5... I don't have the earlier version anymore so I am unable to see if the older version will install again.
