Not that I know of, just keep that cursor moving and your left pinkie near the escape button....:confused::mad:
Maybe setting the detail level down might help a little. I use the hand tool most of the time while browsing and it seems to take about 2-3 seconds to do the popup. so I try to leave it in a blank space.
I've noticed that if you select a route, track, etc. in the list pane on the left, not only does it "highlight" the item on the map, it also brings up an info balloon. Since I clicked on the item in the list, I already know what it is! Seeing the highlighted item on the map is sufficient, I don't need a balloon popping up on the map which covers some of the map underneath.
Agreed, very annoying. If I want to get that sort of detail I'd be happier if it was provided via a 'right click'. It's also a pain when trying to plot a direct route, as it invariably covers where I'm trying to insert my next waypoint :mad:
A similar thing happens when you edit the position on a waypoint. If the position (lat/long) is in error, the "Invalid Input" box pops up which partially covers what you need to correct!
This is one of the more annoying 'helpful features' I've ever seen in a piece of software. That damn balloon is always in the way especially when using the routing tool. Driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!!!
Can I use this information popup to better define the location for a waypoint? Example: Placing a waypoint on an interstate, the popup shows I-10W and I-10E. I would like to select I-10E. How do I do that? In Mapsource it was a right click of the mouse and then select the desired value. That does not work in Basecamp.
