Using Device Map in BaseCamp

Hello

Is there some method that I am missing that would allow me to use the map on my Nuvi 2995 LMT in base camp without having the gps device connected. I would like to great routes in base camp and then tranfer then to my GPS at a later date. The basic map that comes with base camp is definately lacking in detail.

Copy the entire contents of your 2995LMT (put it in mass-storage mode first) to a removable drive (USB drivee, SD card etc). BaseCamp will see that removable drive as your nuvi.
