Basecamp Route transfer.

I have an Edge 800, the OS 1:50 UK installed and the latest version of Basecamp. Having created three routes I want to transfer them to the GPS but am having difficulty.

I am sending them to the device and they go into internal storage. The procedure seems very hit and miss.

After much effort I have managed to transfer the files and can select them from Routes.

I cannot view the contents of the Internal storage directory from within base camp but can show the contents on map.

What is the correct way to transfer routes from basecamp to my edge 800?

There are a couple of ways that I use.

With your Edge hooked up to your PC and visible in Basecamp you can right click any route in BC, select 'send to' and then choose your Edge.

Or you can 'drag and drop' the files from BC into the User Data folder of your Edge

Thanks for the response. I've cleared all of the internal storage which seemed to be full of junk and things seem to be OK (for the moment).

I have inadvertently copied all my waypoints to the 800, how do I remove them please

I had a selection of POI saved on BC of Amsterdam for a visit next week. all I want to do is transfer one route + these dozen waypoints to 800 not everything from my 2547. I see no routes in the left hand column to click:rolleyes:
