What would be a good tablet to use for my astro 320 when I have it go to Base Station mode? I like the idea of tracking inside my vehicle but would like to use a small tablet instead of a laptop. I dont think my kindle would work and I am sure the ipad would not have the correct connection. Any sugestions?

You'd have to get a Windows tablet that runs real Windows (not Windows RT). A Samsung 7 Series Slate, the soon to be out Surface Pro from Microsoft, an Acer Iconia, or a Dell Latitude 10 would be options. I'd have to say though that BaseCamp is not made for touch, it'll work, but I am not sure how good of an experience it would be.

An iPad won't work because it runs iOS, not OS X (which you need to run BaseCamp on a Mac).

A Kindle or other Android tablets won't work because BaseCamp doesn't work on Android.

I have run Basecamp on my HP Slate 500 (Windows 7 based tablet). It works but is pretty slow. But this is a two year old unit with (basically) a netbook class processor. As Falagar says, running "normal" Windows programs on a tablet isn't all that great an experience. If you want something small and portable then look at the MacBook Air or any number of Windows "ultrabook" class machines. They are small but have powerful CPU's and solid state disks along with real keyboards. Also rather expensive unfortunately.
