Lists and Routes confusion BaseCamp vs Mapsource

I am a new convert to BaseCamp so this my be a simple problem. I have been using a Garmin on my bicycle for about 8 years so I have a library of routes saved from several states and several areas of some states. I put my routes in Lists based on area (state or City).

My question is how can I show on the map only one route from a list?

You can't :)

If you want to view one route create another list and pop the route into that.

OK so what I need to have is a separate list for every route. I'll have to create folders to group my routes by state or city.

Yes. Now if you select a folder name the routes (and other stuff) in the list(s) below will be shown. Therefore setup your folder hierarchy to work how you want.

BTW you can duplicate stuff into other lists so you can, with some thought, configure folders and lists to show the same info in different ways.

I have a few lists that I really want to contain more than one route. What I have done is to set the color of all the routes in the list to transparent. If I want to work on a route I'll change the color to something visable.

I like the color solution. If fact I think it would be handy seeing where different routes overlap and share parts of the same road. Once I decide which routes I am going to ride I can change the color before loading on the gps.

Yep. That's why I wanted some routes together in a list. Sometimes I want to just see how one will intersect with another or seeing the difference between shorter and faster.
