Basecamp 4.0.5 Disables Zumo 660 After Initial Scan

Running Basecamp 4.0.5 with a new Zumo 660. When the device is connected via USB cable, Basecamp recognizes the device (under "Devices") Lists the map (CN North America NT 2013.30) and displays a loading bar under GMAPPROM. When the loading bar (or process) completes, the device is disconnected from the computer. Without Basecamp running, the Zumo device will remain connected as an established drive letter all day long.

I would appreciate any help understanding how to keep Basecamp connected to my Zumo.

That sounds very odd.

Does re-connecting the Zumo with BaseCamp running help? Have you seen this with any other version of BaseCamp?

This is my first version of BaseCamp, so I haven't seen it with any other version. Reconnecting the Zumo with BaseCamp running does not help. However, I did re-download my map, and after that, the Zumo would stay connected for a bit longer (approx 3 minutes). But as I attempted to access routes on the device (or most other actions in BaseCamp), the Zumo was disconnected. And again, without running BaseCamp, the Zumo will stay connected and I can transfer files without a problem.

So when you say it disconnects, does the Zumo also disappear from Windows File Explorer (there is no drive anymore for it)? Or does it just disappear from BaseCamp?

Same Problem

I have this same issue! I reinstalled the maps, uninstalled Basecamp and reinstalled the maps directly on the computer. I then reinstalled basecamp with the same results!
I am using Basecamp version 4.1.1
Software version on Zumo is 4.80

Any update to this thread?
I've got a zumo 660 (v4.80), basecamp (v4.1.1). Each time I connect my zumo basecamp starts loading my device. But once it's done, basecamp disconnects the device. My zumo reboots and starts normal (even with the battery-door open!) The zumo is also dissapeared from my Windows File Explorer. If I unplug the usb-cable, my zumo shuts down (because the battery-door is still open so it shouldn't be "started"?)

I've got CN Europe NT 2011.1 on my basecamp and 2011.3 on my Zumo. (reason of difference, I re-installed my windows, my device had the updated maps, but I can't push the update back to my pc?)
