Sending Waypoint List to GPS

Seems trivial, and probably has been covered before, but I could not find it in earlier forum posts.
I have created folders and lists in BaseCamp, but when I try to send a single list or folder to my GPS, the entire database with ALL of my lists/folders get sent to the GPS.
I don't need the entire history of my travels on the GPS. I want it to just hold a relevant subset.
The work-around appears to be to backup my BaseCamp database and then delete the folders I don't need, send the desired ones to the GPS, and then restore my entire database to BaseCamp.
This was so much easier in MapSource.
Is there a better way in BaseCamp to just send a desired folder or list to the GPS?

It's quite simple to do what you want. Right click on the list/folder you want to send to your GPS and select Send to, then select your device from the list that pops up and click OK :)

You can even send a single item using this method.

That's the way it does work. Can't explain why its not working for you. What menu pops up when you right click a list?

Sounds like you may have uncovered a bug. Check your device firmware and see if it can be upgraded. Make sure your BC is on the latest revision. If both are up to date, and it still behaves as you describe, raise it here as a bug and provide details on the device.

As a (temporary) alternative, you should be able to do the following.
Select the folder or list that you want in BC and use the Export option to create a .gpx file (naming it something meaningful/useful).
Then put the .gpx file on your device.
