Hello
I am just starting on Base Camp. I have 14 tracks representing each day of a tour that I recently returned from. I wish to make this into an adventure. The track of the complete tour can be displayed in Base Camp, when all individual days' tracks are selected. But in Garmon Adventures, only one day at a time can be be displayed - or have I missed something?

Each Adventure can have only one Primary Track. Once you choose the Primary Track (perhaps Day 1), you can not remove it from that Adventure, as the Primary Track is what each Adventure is built around.

You can then add additional Tracks to your Adventure, naming them anything you wish... Perhaps Day 2, Day 3, etc...

When others view your Adventure, they will be able to see each of these listed, and select the track they wish to navigate.

Naming them for each day may help the end user choose the correct track.

    Thanks for that.

Another question about placing of photos. The video states that the photo's position must be selected on the track. My photos are geo tagged, with position included in the file's metadata. Is there a way of using that data to place the photos automatically?
  • If the photos are already geotagged, simply import them into BaseCamp and they will be placed on the map where they are geotagged.

I have just bought a Dakota 20 and complete Spain topos. I've been using it around Andalucia and like it though I find inputting routes to Base Camp tedious. Some of the routes already appear on Google Earth. Even inputting way points with Lat and Long is a pain as the format is different.

I am planning to do the Camino de Santiago Compostela (French rout) 790kms. Undoubtedly many hundreds of GPS equipped walkers have passed this way but I cannot find a Garmin Adventure/s covering the route. Can someone please point me in the right direction. It would take me a month to input it by hand.

If there is a route available on Google Earth, you can select it and export it, then import it into Basecamp.
