"show symbol only" how do I select and change all?

I downloaded a large pocket query to my gps and on there it shows symbol only. But in Basecamp I cannot see anything on the map because they are all set to "show symbol and name" thereby obscuring the map. How do I change them to "symbol only" all at the same time (instead of 1200 one at a time)?
Select all the waypoints (or a few hundred of them) by left clicking on the first, and then Shift+reft Clicking on the last, then right-click on the selection and pick "Open" (or "Properties" if you use a version of BaseCamp lower than 4.0). You can then change the display setting for all the selected waypoints in the bulk waypoint property editor.
It can be done by opening the gpx file with the caches in a text editor and use the search-and-replace option of the editor to replace "SymbolAndName" with
"SymbolOnly" (without the quotes)

I don't think we can change that even one at a time, much less in a group or globally. Our only relief at this point seems to be to change the map font display to something really tiny. It helps, but of course that changes ALL the text on the map, not just the cache names.
