Is it possible to convert .gdb to .gpx ?

Those are the Basecamp data files ... if you're running the latest BC you can see that at C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\BaseCamp\Database\4.0

My BaseCamp (Mac) install had no problem with the import after I found the file. For some reason it showed up as unreadable. Anyway, here you are... Maybe not. The site file uploader seems to choke on the attachment. I'll try again in a bit.

Oh, duh, you may have just found my problem, not sure. Forgive me I am a mechanical engineer.
You opened it with a mac?
The person that tracked this during our trip and sent me the file I assumed was using a PC.
But would that matter with the Garmin file?

It looks like the conversion that Killtimer did for me worked perfect, I have the route displayed on Basecamp and Google Earth right now.
Missing a few routes such as the Eagles Nest and Grossglockner glacier and some of Italy, but could have been he had his GPS off.
The uploader here is not allowing me to upload the 3 other files, saying it an "invalid file"

I'm glad it worked for you. A suggestion though. For documenting rides it's much more accurate to use tracks. Most Motorcycle specific GPS units and many other as well can record a track log of exactly where you went. Using a route, as in your example, opens up the problem of different routing algorithms between devices and BaseCamp. Different map products can create errors as well. A track is immune to these differences because it's just a list of the exact long/lat points that comprised the trip. I make a point to download my track to computer daily when on a trip. A secondary benefit of tracks is that you can geosync photographs to the track allowing you to see exactly where on a given segment you took a picture.

No problem Gary, glad I could help. But I do think there is a problem here that needs some further exploration. Why is a file produced by a Garmin app, the only way I know to get a .gdb file, not readable by all Garmin applications, regardless of platform. I find it very strange that the Mac version of BaseCamp was able to import and convert the file in question while Windows based version could not. I tried opening the file you provided in MapSource as well and had no luck. This is even more important now that BaseCamp supports the creation of .gdb files, the preferred format of many of us who are still stuck in the MapSource file based mentality. :)
