While recording a track, I turned off my Oregon 550 and drove to a new location. When I started the unit back up, the track appeared in my new location; it did not connect itself to where the track was located when I had turned off the unit and drove to a new location. However, when I uploaded the data to Basecamp, there is a 5 mile tangent running from between the last point that was taken before I turned off the unit and the first point that was taken when I turned the unit back on. I did not survey this tangent on foot, so I want to remove that section. I selected the track and pulled up a table that contained the data for each index point, such as the point number, elevation, leg distance time and speed, etc. I found the point that contained the 5 mile tangent, right clicked on it, and selected delete. Nothing happened. The leg remains, and the data remains skewed by that un-surveyed tangent. Hitting the delete key while that section is selected has the same result.
How do I delete that section of track?
