I have a Gamin Etrex 30 which came with a free Birdseye select Card. I have registered the card, and it shows in My Garmin account. When I try to download a Map selection via Basecamp, Etrex connected. Basecamp and the download widget asks me to sign into My Garmin account to complete the download. Trouble is, it continually keeps telling me I have entered the wrong User Name / Password, when I know they are correct!!!!!! I can log into My Garmin via a web browser OK.
Any Ideas with what's wrong please?

Edit...... Solved... Just realised and tried, I needed to log in with the User name for this forum!!!! I can log in with my Email address online but not via Basecamp?????

Glad you got it to work. I will try to make sure that you can use the email address for login as well in the future.

I realise this is an old thread, but I'm having the same problem. Can log into the forum, MyGarmin.com and Basecamp (Mac version 4.4.6) using my email address. When I try to download some of my free 1,500km Birdseye maps (with my eTrex 30 connected), it keeps asking for my username and password, then telling me that they are wrong.

Have you activated the card that gives you your free 1500 sq kms?

Have you tried using your user name instead of e mail address?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've activated the card and can see that I have the credit. I've tried using my email address and my name from this forum (as per the first post in this thread I assume this is my username). Have added a small image showing what I can see on screen - in case that helps.

You say your Etrex is connected, is it showing in Basecamp? I ask because I can download Birdseye without being logged in provided the registered device is connected.

Yep, the eTrex is connected and is showing under "My Garmin Devices" at the top-left of the screen. If I try it without the unit plugged in, it says "No supported device" and won't let me click "Continue".

Interestingly - I can only log into my.garmin.com using my email address. Will my user ID be "Sean Chapman"? I can't find any other reference to a user ID to try instead.

Well I can only think of 2 other possible problems. Does the unit ID on your Etrex match the number shown in your jpg? If not your subscription is linked to the wrong device. If it does match then it's possible there's an issue with your account. The only way to resolve that is to speak to someone at Product Support

I wouldn't worry about the user ID, as I said you should be able to download Birdseye if the correct device is plugged it, whether you're signed in or not.

Sean...did you eventually get a solution to your login problem ? I am experiencing an identical situation also.

Hello, I also neither cannot login to myGarmin through Basecamp nor, use BirdsEye images. I have been in contact with Garmin support for sometime now but they haven't come up with a solution yet. I double checked my device id but it does not work. I'm getting "Invalid Input. The username or password you entered is incorrect" error all the time. I also tried my nickname on this forum but no luck.
