Show the ferry lines

Ferry lines are only visible in the highest detail level - both in BaseCamp and in MapSource.
I'm wondering why. Ferries are often a part of the main transport system, and I think they should be visible also in the lowest detail level. In Scandinavia and to and from UK there's a huge amount of ferry lines.
Garmin: Can you please make them visible, always?

Well, there are an awful lot of us out here in the US who will never use a ferry or care about them.....so having them ALWAYS visible isn't a great idea. Allowing them to be seen at the SECOND or THIRD highest level might be a reasonable compromise.

    Agree
  • Could ferry lines not be added to the activity profile map display features list? Then you can see them or not at your discretion.

Yes that would be a possibility. But I don't quite understand the concern. If you live far away from a coastline you won't see the ferry lines anyway when you work in BC so you should not be bothered.

Many of us living in Northern Europe depend on ferry lines to plan trips and get around. The ferries are as important as highways, bridges and tunnels. Island hopping can in itself make for a nice biking trip which I have made quite often. The problem is that loading maps in BC at the highest detail level for a larger area takes a very long time as compared to loading at a lower level. If you select a lower level maps will load faster but you can't see the ferry lines so I end up jumping around with the map display.
