BC fails on opening with error message in title.New PC Dell XPS8500, windows 7. Seems to be a Timeout Detection & Recovery problem, but only with BC. Reinstalling BC same result. Display drivers seem up to date. Known solution within Garmin?
Thanks, tried your suggestion, but no change. My Dell is new (Sep 2012) so I wouldn't expect update issues this soon. The AMD driver specified in the error message is up to date, although I went through the process of downloading and installing in case of corruption. Basecamp is the only application that fails, Although it did run OK when first installed on 4 Oct.Failed by 17 Oct. Can't get to system restore back before BC installed unless I do a factory re installation. BC uninstalled/re-installed makes no difference.
Success! Although the Dell Download Manager insisted I had up to date drivers, the AMD download manager found a driver that needed updating, and lo it was done, which solved the Basecamp display problem. So thanks again for the help from FALAGAR, SPROUTY007 and SHELL222.
