Can you move the course of a Route like you can in MapSource?

I created a Route in BaseCamp by adding two way points and im not happy with the route it took so i want to select the route at the point i want it to take a diffident road and move it over like I can do In MapSource but I cant make it work.

Am I doing something wrong.

First time Im using this program and Im not really impressed

There must be some good reason why Garmin is dumping MapSource, everyone seems to like it better then BaseCamp.

Select your route with the "selection tool"
The route becomes highlighted and arrows show the direction of travel
Now (also under tools) select the "insert" tool
Click on your highlighted route and drag it to the road you want.
Press your computers "esc" (escape button) to finish.
Move as many parts as you need, make sure you drop the route on the correct side of any divided highways

Off road ?

Does this method work if the route is off road?

The insert/drag works on or off road. What it does though depends on the map you're using and the settings on BC.
