Picked a starting point and a destination and the calculated route points me in a direction I cannot go because the road enroute has a barricade at the end. The route is calculated using features that aren't available. Also, I cannot delete waypoints and Points-of-interest from the device within BaseCamp. If I delete everything from My Collection and then delete what I don't want from the device, as soon as I connect to BaseCamp and import from the device, everything I just deleted from the device reappears. Why?
You don't say which device you have but BC can't delete waypoints etc off the nuvi GPS, that needs to be done on the unit itself.
If you have a lot of editing to do on your nuvi then the way I do it is to import everything into BC, disconnect the nuvi and delete everything from it. Edit the data in BC and then send that data back to the nuvi.
As for the map error, they are a fact of life unfortunately and are not unique to your or anybody elses GPS, nor indeed to paper maps :)
