In the Graph tab of a track/route is the Zoom check box. When checked, one can set the desired level of zoom – all good so far.
However, when scrolling along the track, the vertical axis (elevation) scale varies continuously (dependant on the elevation range required for the section of track displayed). Perhaps this is useful in some circumstances.
However, the changing scale makes visual comparison of relative incline impossible – and consistency across multiple graphs non-existent.
A very useful feature would be a checkbox that allows the vertical scale to be locked.
Also, in zoom mode, each track-point is shown on the graph (not shown when Zoom is unchecked) – a checkbox to control showing track-points (in Zoom and non-Zoom modes) would be more flexible.
BTW - love the ability to select multiple tracks and display graphs overlaid. Even better would be the ability to drag individual track elevations along the horizontal axis (rather than each track starting at the zero point) - difficult to program, I think, but would be very clever.
Finally, I think this has been said before – the (average) Grade statistic on the properties tab is useless – better would be to display max ascent and max descent grades.
