I installed Basecamp back in May and shortly after I was prompted to update to 3.3. I selected to update and the install files extract but then no more progress is made and the software is never upgraded. This update message is there every time I open up Basecamp and even though I have tweaked the update setting. Base camp claims the last time it checked for an update was in May.
So I decided to download ver. 4 from Garmin to update or overwrite but once it unpacks I get the splash message that the install will take a few minutes and then the process stops and I cannot install. I tried to uninstall Basecamp completely through the control panel but it still remains on my computer with the same update message even though it is no longer listed in my control panel as an installed program.
I have 64 bit computer running Windows 7. I turned off all securities while doing the install to no avail. I cannot find anything online that discusses update or install bugs but many in my agency outside this office are also having problems.
Any thoughts??
