Using Collections - Coming from Mapsource

Ok, so I understand that Base Camp is pretty much replacing MapSource over time and am trying get all my trips moved over from MapSource to BaseCamp. I'm hitting some difficulty using the Library - especially trying to bring over multiple trips over the last number of years. I have duplicate waypoints, etc... going back to 2009.

I was hoping to be able to create a folder called "trips" and under it have folders for each trip taken with lists called Waypoints, Routes, Tracks under each. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to create more than one list called "Routes" for instance (even though it's in a different folder).

I'm wondering how others are using the folders and lists to maintain their routes/waypoints/tracks, etc?

For those developing BaseCamp - is there a plan to support same item name in different folders in the future?

Any and all thoughts, recommendations, or assistance is greatly appreciated.

As you've found, BC will not support the same names, either as folders or indeed as waypoints/tracks/routes although you can have the same waypoint/track/route in different folders.

The move from Mapsource to Basecamp was a painful one for me initially, but once you get used to BC it's no big deal :)

Thanks for pointing out the video. That reminded me that I had wanted to create a sticky post for them. So now I did. :)
