Garmnin Adventures - size limits, elevations, photo order

Is there a size limit for adventures or a number of photos limit? I was not able to publish my last adventure without splitting it into three sections.

How do you get the elevation data to show up in the published adventure?

How do you set an order for the photos? If you number them, the numbers are not kept in sequence. 1-9 are ok, the 10 goes ahead. I can not find a clean way to order the photos in my adventure.

A few instructions would probably be helpful.

There seems to be an issue with photo size. I don't think there is a number limit. I've had users report that if they re-sized the photos the upload works.

Elevation data will show up if the main track of your adventure has elevation data. If it doesn't, and you have a Topo map with DEM data, you can set elevation data for the track after the fact. (Right-click the track, Advanced, Set Selected Track to Map Elevation).

The order is determined mostly by the time stamp of the photo in relation to the timestamps of the track. Distance plays a role as well. Right now there is no way to edit that order manually. You'd have to make sure that the timestamps of the photos aligns properly with the track. If you have an actual GPS track and real photos with a proper time stamp, then this should all work automatically. It gets a bit tricky if you don't, unfortunately.

Sounds like I need to resize the photos manually - the instructions suggest that the photos are re-sized automatically during the publishing process.

My data came from an imported gpx file which showed the elevations prior to publishing - need to work with that a little more and refine my question if I can't resolve.

My photos came from different sources, I will have to make sure the times on all the cameras are set the same and perhaps edit the times where necessary. They would not need a number if they were in order anyway I suppose - I may be making it too hard...

Thanks very much for the help,

    Tom

Yes, they are supposed to be resized automatically. But there must be some bug in there, I'll try to reproduce that and will hopefully be able to fix that soon.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.
