I recently upgraded to 4.0.1 and I was really surprised and unhappy that it converted all the waypoints with pics to geotagged photos. The main problem I have is that I was using the first waypoint to mark the trailhead and store all sorts of information I've gathered about the trail, including pics, writeups, etc. When this conversion happened, now all 2500 trails I have marked out are pretty messed up on the map with the images preview.
There are a few different options I can think of that would allow this feature to work for all users
1. Allow the geotagged images to not display a preview. If it allowed for a selectable icon (like a waypoint), this would allow us to create a dummy icon to indicate it has information, and yet not fill the space with previews.
2. Allow us to convert the geotag images back into waypoints. (Doing things like this automatically without a way to go back really wasn't appreciated).
