Is there no way to send a map to an SD card? I can send it to my 450 internal memory but it will not allow me to select the card whether it is in the 450 or plugged in to a media card reader port.
Depends on the map. I suspect the one you're trying to send is locked to your 450?
Well since the BaseCamp procedure is to right click the Garmin Device and then choose Install Map and I cannot even right click the SD card I really don't think it is the OSM maps.
MapInstall??? Is that another name for BaseCamp? I am using BC 4.0.1
Sorry for creating confusion. They are two separate programs. BaseCamp on its own cannot install maps at all. It launches MapInstall for its map installation needs.
It's admittedly not very apparent (nor should it be, in my opinion). When you launch it from BaseCamp it just looks like another dialog.
