    Hi Leon,

I got it working today, how ever I had a other problem (app crashes on connecting) maybe this works for u to. I had two .fit files that I removed from the activity folder on the Fenix. After that it connected with no problem. The two files wear made still running 2.40 firmware, the remaining .fit file wear generated on the Fenix running 2.60.

So the thing to do, if you ain't don it yet is:

    - Remove any .fit file generated on 2.40
    - update to 2.60
    - re-install BaseCamp mobile (u never know)
    - switch on BT on your iPhone
    - install BaseCamp Mobile
    - switch Fenix to Share-> basecamp
    - open the app

    Hope this helps u....

thanks for that, i'll give it a try tonight, i am not sure how to access the .fit files, does one do it through ones computer connection or by deleting all files on the watch?
    again many thanks

  • Just connect the watch to your computer, it appears as a removable drive. Open that, u find a folder called Garmin, open that folder and there u find a bunch of folders and files. Find the Activity folder, that one contains your .fit files, if u already uploaded them to Garmin connect, u can delete al the files in the activity folder. If u did not upload them to Garmin connect, u can move (not copy) them to your computer and later on manually upload them to Garmin connect.

If u did not already know, u can update the firmware of your device with the WebUpdater with can be downloaded here

    fenix to basecamp mobile

thanks again for that, the basecamp mobile still crashes when get to the bluetooth icon on the fenix. one thing i noted is that the iphone bluetooth does not seem to recognise the fenix it just says searching. i have upgraded to ios 6 and i'm not sure if that makes a difference. as far as i can see i have followed you ideas, (i had already updated to 2.6). I also have the garmit fit app on my iphone not sure if it could interfere. although it is closed when i have tried to connect to basecamp mobile

  • I'm having the same issue. Updated to 2.6 and reinstalled BCM but still crashes each time I scan for devices. Power cycled the 4s and BT on/off/on but the 4s never discovers the fenix in the bluetooth device listings. I deleted all .FIT files last night as well.
  • The same for me, the App crash ever time I try to connect it to my fenix s/w 2.60.
  • The last thing u can do is remove .fit and .gpx files and reset the Fenix to factory settings. I know this is the last thing u want to do, but maybe it helps.

When connected, the Fenix will still not show up in the BT device list on your iPhone/iPad so that appears to be normal.
  • From Garmin Social Support:

We are currently waiting on a patch to be approved by Apple to correct that issue, I would assume that it should happen shortly but I do not have any time frame for that to give you at this time.

I'll wait for this as I've built a lot of custom profiles that I don't want to redo.

Dear Garmin, a web tool for personalizing and saving the settings would be awesome!
