I imported a route ( what is the difference between a route and a track?) whihc I had created on Memory Map into base camp, but it didn't lock on to follow the roads.
How can i correct this without re drawing the route in base camp please?
A route is defined by a small number of start, via, and end points. A route 1000 miles long could have just a startpoint and an endpoint. If it is on a routable map it can be made to follow roads. If the map isn't routable, it will just connect the points with straight lines. A track is defined by a lot of points saved at regular intervals, like Hansel and Gretel's breadcrumb trail. Assuming you had waypoints from Memory Map (which I know nothing about), and there weren't too many of them, you could export them to GPX files, import them into a routable map, and have BaseCamp connect them into a route with vias.
