Importing existing route from computer

using BaseCamp 4.0.1

How do I import an existing route from the computer with the existing file name intact? I can select "Import into New List" then import the route but then I have to rename the route- I don't want to do this, the file "Import" option has changed in the 4.01 version.

We should beable to import an existing route with file name (intact) into BaseCamp 4.0.1 same as the previous versions did.

    Mine retain the name on import, not sure why yours don't :confused:

    Worked fine for me as well. I did an Import to Collection and an existing List. Route retained the name from my external .gpx file in both cases. Created a new List when Imported to Collection.

    ps: BTW I do not get the message "Import into New List" but rather "Import into My Collection" or "Import into List name". Maybe that is a clue to our differences.

    I clicked on "My Collection" then file and the "Import into my Collection" was shown and then selected the route I wanted and it imported correctly and route name was retained.
    Problem corrected operator error.
