currently the older Zumos support shaping points as long as they are not "real" waypoints (just route points created with the route tool) and they are located on either an intersection or an address
When I use the "insert" tool to shape a route, those vias are created with the "don't announce" attribute. In my experience, on my 660 with current firmware, those behave properly as "don't announce" shaping points. I never try to place them on intersections; I just drop them on roads to shape my route.
My question is: what does the "address" requirement mean? As long as they're on an identified road? Some of mine do show up in the via list as "xxx Main St" and such, but some show up simply as "Hwy xx".
Can you clarify the address requirement for me?
Thanks for all your help,
Jim
