I have an issue saving and keeping my waypoint database upto date.
I have regularly used Mapsource as a backup for my waypoints; however, with my newest Nuvi 3490 there is no communication in Mapsource and I have to use BaseCamp instead. And the problen is that I don't quite know how to handle the waypoints in BC.
I have copied all the waypoints to "My Collection", however I have lost all icons I have assigned to various waypoints that I had in Mapquest and on the older Nuvi 3790.
Question: is there a way to compare the waypoints databases on the device and BC and to move only the ones that are not saved on either of the devices?
As the customized waypoints (icons) are not saved on the device I would hate to copy them over on the BC and having to customize them again.
