Routing and shaping point or via options

I really like that Basecamp will permit coding of via points to be unannounced.

Is there a way to make silent vias a default so that I don't have to manually reset each via point to "do not announce"?

I don't think there is a way to do that yet. But if you insert a point into a route (using the Insert tool) the points are unannounced by default.
