How to handle many duplicate waypoints and tracks in basecamp?

Hi everyone,
I am having a couple of issues i can't seem to figure out on my own so here i am. I go out for motorcyle ride in the woods and will usually load appr 10 tracks and 200-300 waypoints onto garmin 450. During my day of riding i will usually create about 10 new waypoints. My problem is when i get home and go to save my waypoints i can not usauly remember exactly what the names of my new waypoints were. So i end up just selecting all of the waypoints and dropping them back in my library. The problem is i end up with 200-300 duplicate waypoints that were already in my library. So my question is actually 2 questions. 1.- how do i go about identifying only the new waypoints so i can just select them to dropp into my library? And how do i deal with all the duplicate files i have created? It woulld take me days to manually delete all the duplicates i have. Is there an automated way to identify and delete all the duplicate files i have? Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated.

I assume this is a Zumo 450 you are using?

I do not have one here to test, but this is definitely not what should be happening. I tried with my Oregon 450 and there are no duplicates being created.

Filter by waypoints, and then sort by name. Then the duplicates should be at least easily discernible because the duplicates have just a 1 (or 2, etc.) added to their name.

But ultimately, these duplicates should not appear in the first place. I'd be curious if this happens in the 4.0 Beta as well. If you don't mind, would you consider testing this with the Beta https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?29240-BaseCamp-4-0-0-5-is-released ?

Thank you for the reply. I am using an oregon 450. After posting this I relized how to swap map/data views to filter my waypoints by date modified , name, ect. I have been using base camp regularly for over a year now and did not relize that was available. Too save some people the headache of trying to figure it out-Maybe in a newer release of basecamp that function could be a little more obvious(like putting a "waypoint manager" tab under "tools). None the less this will make managing them(and identifying my duplicates) a lot easyer. I will download the beta version and give it a shot. I will let you know how it works when I get a chance. Thanks again for you reply.
