Waypoint Modified Date is always "NOW"

So, I'm playing with BC 3.3.3 and notice in the Data view that when I look at the waypoints on my Nuvi2595LMT, the "Date Modified" has the current date/time for every waypoint. (Actually, its the date/time on which BC last connected to the device, or was launched from scratch.)

That is not terribly useful for finding waypoints I've manually added on the Nuvi to transfer to BC.

Could you check out the 4.0 Beta? There, we display the creation and the modified date. Is that more useful?

OK, tried it on release 4.0.1 and it exhibits the same undesireable behavior: Created and Modified dates on waypoints in the 2595 are set to the time it was connected to PC.

I see the same behavior on a Montana. All waypoints on the Montana have the modified date/time set to the time when the Montana data was last read-in to Basecamp. The database on the PC seems to work better in that the creation and modified dates seem to track reality.

Use Mapsource if you want the correct date created.
